Wizards End Streak

By Jesse Jones

The Washington Wizards were on a franchise-worse 16-game losing streak.  Wednesday night that ended in New Orleans.

The Hornets had just beaten the Los Angeles Lakers in an impressive victory coming into the game last night.  The Wizards, not so much.

However, this had no effect on the Wizards.  Behind 56% shooting from the team, 23 points from Andray Blatche, and a surprising 27 from Mike Miller, the Wizards went down to New Orleans and won 96-91. ‘ Comeback kid’ Shaun Livingston scored 18 points and tallied 8 assists.

Washington also shot an impressive 50% from three and 81% from the line.

The 16-game losing streak is finally over, and everybody can agree with Andray Blatche when he said, “I said, ‘thank you man, it’s finally over.”’
