Ravens Add Defensive Depth

cory redding

By Jesse Jones

After defensive lineman Dwan Edwards left Baltimore for Buffalo last week, it became even more clear that the defensive line was one of the biggest wholes on the team.

Part of that hole has now been patched, as the Ravens have signed defensive tackle Cory Redding.  Redding, who most recently played with the Seattle Seahawks, signed a two-year contract with the team.

In his seven year career, Redding has recorded 18 sacks, but as of late his production has declined.  Now he looks to be a quality back-up to veteran Trevor Pryce.

Look for the Ravens to fill some holes on the defense by drafting some defensive linemen and defensive backs.
